1. Who We Are
CrewFill is a trading name of Humantra-AI Ltd (Company No. 16826185). We operate a labour coordination and payment facilitation platform connecting CSCS-verified construction workers with contractors across London and surrounding areas.
CrewFill acts as a CIS contractor of record for payment purposes. We do not employ workers. All on-site supervision, direction, and control of work rests solely with the engaging contractor.
2. Eligibility
To register you must:
- Be aged 18 or over with the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a valid CSCS card appropriate to your trade
- Have a valid UTR number registered with HMRC
- Provide accurate information at registration and at all times thereafter
3. Verification
Before any work can be arranged through CrewFill, we are required to verify your identity, right to work, CSCS card, and UTR number. You agree to provide the necessary documents promptly when requested.
We reserve the right to decline or remove any registration where verification cannot be completed or where documents are found to be invalid or fraudulent.
4. How CrewFill Works
CrewFill receives payment from contractors via invoice and distributes funds to workers after applying the applicable CIS deduction. CrewFill selects and presents suitable workers to contractors based on skills and availability. The contractor makes the final decision whether to accept a worker on site.
Work is only confirmed once the contractor has directly confirmed the engagement. CrewFill does not exercise Supervision, Direction, or Control (SDC) over how work is performed. All on-site instruction and operational control are the responsibility of the contractor.
There is no guarantee of work. Workers are not exclusively bound to CrewFill and may work for others. Workers may decline any assignment without obligation.
5. Fees & Booking
Registration is free. Workers are never charged a fee by CrewFill. Contractors are charged a separate coordination fee under a written agreement.
All bookings are charged at a flat daily rate. No pro-rata deductions or hourly roll-backs are permitted for early site closures, weather delays, or cancellations made after the worker has arrived on site. The full day rate is payable in all such circumstances.
6. Employment Status
Nothing in these Terms creates a contract of employment, worker status, or agency relationship between CrewFill and any registered worker. Workers engaged through CrewFill are self-employed subcontractors.
CrewFill does not exercise Supervision, Direction, or Control (SDC) over how work is performed. Any supervision, direction, or instruction relating to the work is the sole responsibility of the engaging contractor.
7. CIS & Tax
CrewFill is registered as a CIS contractor with HMRC. Where CrewFill processes payment, statutory CIS deductions will be applied to the labour element before funds are distributed. Workers will receive a Payment and Deduction Statement for each payment. CrewFill will verify your UTR with HMRC before the first payment is made.
Workers are solely responsible for their own Self Assessment filings, tax affairs, and HMRC compliance beyond CIS deductions made at source.
8. Insurance
CrewFill holds insurance policies required for its business operations. This does not extend to contractors, site operations, or individuals engaged on site. The engaging contractor is solely responsible for maintaining appropriate site insurance and compliance for all workers on their project.
9. Your Responsibilities
As a registered worker you agree to:
- Keep your CSCS card, right to work documents, and contact details current and valid
- Attend confirmed work on time and conduct yourself professionally
- Comply with all site rules, health and safety requirements, and contractor instructions
- Notify CrewFill immediately if your right to work status changes
- Not misrepresent your skills, qualifications, or experience
10. Data & Privacy
By registering, you consent to CrewFill collecting and processing your personal data for the purpose of coordinating work opportunities. Your data may be shared with contractors for this purpose. We will not sell your data.
Humantra-AI Ltd is registered with the ICO (Reg: ZC101683). We may be required by law to share information with HMRC where applicable. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. To request data deletion, email info@crewfill.co.uk with subject: DATA REMOVAL.
11. Conduct & Removal
CrewFill may suspend or remove any worker from the platform at any time where false information was provided, verification documents are invalid, conduct brings CrewFill or any contractor into disrepute, or right to work status expires or is revoked.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Humantra-AI Ltd is not liable for any loss of earnings, injury or incident on site, disputes between workers and contractors, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify Humantra-AI Ltd against any claims arising from your conduct, misrepresentation, or breach of these Terms.
13. Changes & Governing Law
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is always at crewfill.co.uk/terms. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
